This Privacy Policy applies to snowstorm.gallery (the "Site"), owned and operated by Snowstorm LLC, a Texas limited liability company operating under the names Catherine Snowstorm and Snowstorm Art Studio ("we," "us," "our"). It explains how we collect, use, protect, and share personal information across all services provided through the Site, including the purchase of original paintings, limited edition prints, postcards, and books (our "Art Gallery & Shop"), and enrollment in our online art classes (our "Art Studio"). Our companion Terms of Service governs purchases, class enrollment, and website usage, and is incorporated here by reference.

HOW THIS DOCUMENT IS ORGANIZED

This Privacy Policy is divided into three parts:

• Part One — General Provisions: privacy practices that apply across the entire Site, regardless of whether you're purchasing artwork or enrolled in a class — who we are, cookies, how we share information, your privacy rights, security, and how this policy may change.

• Part Two — Art Studio: what we collect and how we use it specifically for online art class enrollment and live sessions — including cameras, recordings, catch-up videos, the Military Family Scholarship, and protections for minors.

• Part Three — Catherine Snowstorm: what we collect and how we use it specifically for purchases through the Art Gallery & Shop — inquiries, payment, and fulfillment.

Sections are numbered within each part (e.g., II.1, II.2) for easy reference.

PART I: GENERAL PROVISIONS

I.1 WHO WE ARE

Snowstorm LLC is a registered Texas limited liability company. Catherine Snowstorm personally creates all artwork, teaches every class, and manages every part of the business operated through this Site — there are no other instructors or staff with access to your information.

I.2 INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY (COOKIES)

Our Site (built on Wix) uses essential and functional cookies to keep the Site secure, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use it. Non-essential cookies (such as those used for analytics or marketing) are only set with your consent, collected through our cookie consent banner where legally required. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

I.3 HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION (THIRD-PARTY SERVICES)

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site and business, each permitted to use your information only to provide their service to us:

• Platform & Security: Wix (website hosting and security), Usercentrics (cookie consent management).

• Financial: QuickBooks/Intuit and Square (invoicing and payment processing).

• Shipping: Postal and freight carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL) for orders that ship physical artwork — see Part III.

• Legal Requirements: If required by subpoena, court order, or applicable law, to protect the legal rights and safety of Snowstorm LLC, our customers, or others.

I.4 YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, access or obtain a copy (download) of it, correct it, delete it (subject to our legitimate business and legal recordkeeping needs), and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information) or targeted advertising (we do not use children's information for targeted advertising, and do not target ads generally). To exercise any of these rights, email catherine.snowstorm@gmail.com.

I.5 DATA SECURITY

We rely on Wix's and our payment processors' platform-level security, along with reasonable practices of our own, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

I.6 INTERNATIONAL VISITORS

We welcome buyers and students from around the world. If you're located outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States and by our service providers, which may have different data protection laws than your home country. Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) gives you additional rights, we honor them — see I.4.

I.7 CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and notify enrolled Art Studio families directly of any material change affecting an active class.

I.8 GOVERNING LAW

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where local mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection law provides otherwise.

PART II: ART STUDIO

II.1 HOW ENROLLMENT WORKS

Signing up happens in two steps:

1. "Step into the Studio!" — a short initial inquiry form (name, email, the level/course you're interested in, your general location, and an optional note) so we can get a first sense of fit.

2. The final sign-up form — after we follow up, adult students complete "Let's get to know each other!"; a parent or guardian signing up a student under 18 completes "Introducing Your Young Artist!" instead. Either way, this is where we collect everything needed to actually enroll you (or your child), including your consent choices for how photos of the artwork created in class may be used (II.8).

II.2 INFORMATION WE COLLECT

• From "Step into the Studio!": name, email, current level/course interest, general location (for timezone coordination), and any optional notes.

• From "Let's get to know each other!" (adult students): your name (or pen name, if you'd like to be credited under one instead), phone, email, and your art background. We place adult students by the level and background you tell us — we do not ask an adult student for their date of birth.

• From "Introducing Your Young Artist!" (students under 18): a parent or guardian, not the student, provides the student's name or pen name, the student's date of birth (optional), and the parent's own name, phone, and email.

• Artwork submissions: during and between sessions, students (or, for a minor, their parent) send photos of artwork — both finished pieces and work-in-progress — for feedback. We ask specifically for photos of the artwork itself, not photos of the student.

• Military family status (optional): On "Let's get to know each other!", adult students may optionally indicate whether they are an active-duty service member, veteran, National Guard/Reserve member, an immediate family member of one, or a Gold Star Family member. This is entirely optional and used solely to determine eligibility for our Military Family Scholarship (II.7; see also Terms of Service Part II). It is never used for marketing, shared with third parties, or used for any other purpose.

II.3 MINORS & PARENTAL CONSENT (STUDENTS UNDER 18)

Enrollment is open to students 13 years and older; we do not knowingly enroll or collect information from anyone under 13.

Every student under 18 — not only those under 13 — is enrolled by a parent or legal guardian, who acts as the primary account holder, completes "Introducing Your Young Artist!" on the student's behalf, and makes all consent choices described in this Part II, including for artwork display (II.8) and for the camera, recording, and presentation-sharing practices (II.4–II.6). This applies our own parental-consent practice consistently across the whole 13–17 age range we serve, going beyond what U.S. law (COPPA, which by its terms applies only to children under 13) currently requires.

A parent or guardian may, at any time, email catherine.snowstorm@gmail.com to review the information we hold about their child, correct it, withdraw consent for artwork or video use, or request deletion, subject to limited records we're legally required to keep.

Only Catherine ever sees a student's information — there are no other instructors or staff with access.

II.4 LIVE SESSION CAMERAS, MICROPHONE & RECORDING

What we collect differs by part of the class. During the core session's introduction and presentation (roughly its first 15 minutes), no camera or microphone is collected. During the core session's practical work portion, we ask students to keep a work-surface camera, a face camera, and a microphone on by default, so Catherine can see your work in progress, respond to questions in real time, and give visual feedback. If you (or your child) prefer not to appear on the face camera during that portion, you may opt out and participate with that camera off, submitting questions in writing through the session chat instead.

Two optional 30-minute segments — a Pre-Painter's Lounge before the core session, and a Post-Painter's Lounge after it — are also offered. A face camera is never collected during either Painter's Lounge; a work-surface camera and microphone may be used if a student chooses to show their work or ask a question, entirely at their option. Because these are group sessions rather than one-on-one tutoring, any camera image, audio, or artwork a student shares during a Painter's Lounge may be seen or heard by other enrolled students in that group, not just Catherine.

Only the core session is recorded. A recording captures the video and audio of everyone present during that core session — not just your own. Recordings are retained for 30 days from the date of the session, used solely so students who missed that session can catch up on the material (II.5), and are then deleted. They are not published, shared publicly, or used for any other purpose without separate written consent. The optional Pre- and Post-Painter's Lounge segments are not recorded.

Only Catherine's own recording of the core session, made through the class platform, is permitted. Students and parents/guardians may not independently record, screen-record, or otherwise capture any part of a live session — core session or Painter's Lounge — by any means, and may not distribute any such recording to anyone.

II.5 CATCH-UP VIDEO ACCESS & VIEWING AGREEMENT

Enrolled students (or, for minors, their parent/guardian) who miss a core session may stream that session's recording within the Site for 30 days after it was recorded — recordings cannot be downloaded, copied, or saved in any form. This applies to the core session only; the optional Pre- and Post-Painter's Lounge segments are not recorded (see II.4).

Before viewing, you must agree not to share, forward, publish, or otherwise distribute the recording, or any portion of it, to anyone outside your own household — this protects the privacy of the other students who appear and speak in it. This agreement applies equally to adult students and to parents/guardians viewing on behalf of a minor.

II.6 SESSION PRESENTATIONS

After each live session, Catherine shares that session's presentation materials with all enrolled students, adult and minor alike (via the parent/guardian for minors), for personal reference. These are provided for the personal, non-commercial use of the enrolled student or their family only, and may not be redistributed or shared outside your own household.

II.7 MILITARY FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP: VERIFICATION & DATA HANDLING

Each Art Studio group reserves two tuition-free spots for active-duty service members, veterans, National Guard/Reserve members, their immediate family members, and Gold Star Family members. Indicating eligibility on the enrollment form (II.2) is entirely optional and self-disclosed.

To verify eligibility, we ask you to show us a document confirming military status or family relationship to a service member or veteran — for example, a military or dependent ID card, a DD-214 for veterans, or documentation of Gold Star Family status — with any Social Security number, DoD ID number, or other sensitive identifying number covered or blacked out.

Typically, you'll upload a photo of this document through our Military Family Scholarship verification form — the most convenient option, since it doesn't require scheduling a call. If you'd rather, this can also be done in person or by video call. However you share it, we view the document solely to confirm eligibility, and then delete it once verification is complete. We retain only a brief internal note confirming that verification took place (your name, the date, and the type of document shown), for as long as needed for that enrollment cycle's records.

II.8 STUDENT ARTWORK & PUBLICITY (DIGITAL STUDIO FUND)

With the consent given on your sign-up form, photos of student artwork created under Studio guidance may be featured on our Site, in our portfolio, or on social media, as part of what we call our Digital Studio Fund.

• Work is credited by the student's name or chosen pen name, unless "Anonymous Display" is selected.

• Consent may be modified or revoked at any time by emailing us, including having public examples taken down going forward.

• Physical artwork always remains 100% the property of the student.

II.9 HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information above to:

• Register students for classes and place them at the right level;

• Determine and administer eligibility for the Military Family Scholarship, where requested (II.7);

• Run live sessions, give feedback on submitted artwork, and issue uniquely numbered Certificates of Completion;

• Feature student artwork in our portfolio, on the Site, and on social media, only as consented to (II.8);

• Communicate with you about class logistics, such as scheduling, session reminders, and Art Lab assignments;

• Maintain business records required by tax and consumer-protection law;

• Keep the Site secure.

We do not sell your (or your child's) personal information, and we do not use children's information for targeted advertising.

II.10 DATA RETENTION (ART STUDIO)

We keep enrollment and student information while a student is active, and for a reasonable period after.

We maintain a permanent internal registry of issued Certificate of Completion numbers. This registry is not public — looking up a certificate requires both the certificate number and the student's surname. We'll notify affected students if anything changes about this system or how it can be accessed. If a student asks us to, we will delete their name and certificate number from this registry.

Military Family Scholarship verification documents are not retained — see II.7. Only the brief confirmation note described there is kept, and only for as long as needed for that enrollment cycle's records. You can ask us to delete other information sooner, as described in I.4.

PART III: CATHERINE SNOWSTORM

III.1 INFORMATION WE COLLECT

• Inquiries: When you express interest in an Original Painting through our Site's "Express Interest" form or by email, we collect your name and email address to confirm availability and discuss details. The Site does not process direct credit card checkout for Original Paintings.

• Coordinating a purchase: Once you request a painting, we continue by email — confirming details, discussing shipping, and answering questions. Information you share with us this way (for example, a shipping address) is used the same way as information submitted through the Site.

• Fulfillment: We collect shipping addresses and recipient phone numbers necessary for delivery, customs paperwork, and generating official Bills of Sale, Certificates of Gift, and Certificates of Authenticity referencing the item's Certificate Serial Number.

• Direct checkout: For Limited Edition Fine Art Giclée Prints, Hand-Embellished Limited Edition Giclée on Canvas pieces, Fine Art Postcards, and books purchased instantly through the Site's shopping cart, checkout collects your name, shipping/billing address, and payment information through our payment partners in the usual way for an online store.

III.2 PAYMENT PROCESSING

For Original Paintings, once a sale is confirmed we send you an invoice through QuickBooks/Intuit or Square. When you pay that invoice, the payment processor handles your card or bank details directly — we only receive confirmation of payment and, where shown, the last four digits of the card used. For direct cart checkout, payment is processed the same way by our integrated payment partners. We never see or store your full card number, and we ask that card details never be sent to us directly by email, text, or any messaging app.

III.3 HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information above to:

• Confirm painting availability and respond to inquiries;

• Process and fulfill orders, including invoicing, shipping, and customs paperwork;

• Provide customer service, including handling returns under our Terms of Service (Part III);

• Maintain business records required by tax and consumer-protection law;

• Detect and prevent fraud, and keep the Site secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

III.4 DATA RETENTION (ART GALLERY & SHOP)

We retain transaction and invoice records for the periods required by tax authorities, and maintain a permanent internal registry of Certificate Serial Numbers for art authenticity verification.

Unlike the Certificate of Completion registry (II.10), a Certificate Serial Number is always public: entering it allows anyone to look up which painting it corresponds to and view that artwork's details — not any information about the buyer. Because this registry documents the artwork itself rather than personal data about a person, entries in it are permanent and cannot be deleted. We'll notify affected parties of any change to this system or how it can be accessed.

You can ask us to delete other personal information sooner, as described in I.4.
