With great pleasure I will paint such apples for you, or even apples from your or your parent’s garden based on your photo. I will prepare several sketches so we can choose the one that resonates most with you.

I use only professional-grade oil paints, ensuring the creation of a unique, timeless original.
The price depends on the size of the artwork.

Story

This is a decorative painting — and I mean that as a strength. I love the graphic quality of the branches, the rhythm of the leaves, the way the vivid splashes of apples land as connecting points between the branches and the foliage. I used bold, pure, bright colors deliberately — to capture the sunny, energetic feel of a summer orchard. The black imprimatura shows through as an outline around each shape, which gives the whole piece its graphic character.

Artistry

I painted this alla prima — in a single session, while the paint was still wet — over a black imprimatura. The black background gives the paint a dense, solid appearance: the colors sit on it with weight and intensity. The painting has not been varnished.

Since this artwork is available on commission, the packaging and shipping methods depend on the terms agreed upon in the contract:

If shipped stretched: Packed in protective heavy-duty boxes with multiple layers of bubble wrap.
If shipped rolled: Rolled in heavy-duty tubes for secure, crease-free shipping.
Custom Quote: Shipping and insurance are calculated individually for each unique artwork based on the provided address.
Local Pickup: Studio pickup or hand-delivery within the Austin, TX area is available upon request.
