Story

This painting is an accent piece — an autumn carpet. It holds both a touch of sadness for fading warmth and a burst of joyful, vibrant color. I took the reference photograph at a specific spot that captivated me: red leaves and black chokeberries against still-green grass. I think this painting will reach even those who don't usually like autumn.

Artistry

I painted this on canvas pre-primed with black gesso, which serves as a natural outline for all the elements. The canvas itself is woven from very thick threads, giving the surface a highly textured quality. The painting has not been varnished.

Since this artwork is available on commission, the packaging and shipping methods depend on the terms agreed upon in the contract:

If shipped stretched: Packed in protective heavy-duty boxes with multiple layers of bubble wrap.
If shipped rolled: Rolled in heavy-duty tubes for secure, crease-free shipping.
