Story

I made this painting as decorative, graphic, and minimalist as possible — clouds and swallows, nothing more. The large format, the massive texture, and the unusually bright color of the clouds make it read like a bas-relief on the wall. Up close, you realize these are clouds, not stone sculptures. The swallows move freely through them, continuing the "wall" in their own way. Only the brave one overcomes fears and, with an open visor, achieves freedom.

Artistry

I painted this on canvas mounted on a wooden panel. For the clouds, I used texture paste to build genuine volume — these elements are three-dimensional on the surface. For the rifts between clouds, I applied sheets of imitation gold leaf, so the veins shimmer and shift depending on the viewing angle. The painting has not been varnished.

Since this artwork is available on commission, the packaging and shipping methods depend on the terms agreed upon in the contract:

If shipped stretched: Packed in protective heavy-duty boxes with multiple layers of bubble wrap.
If shipped rolled: Rolled in heavy-duty tubes for secure, crease-free shipping.
Custom Quote: Shipping and insurance are calculated individually for each unique artwork based on the provided address.
Local Pickup: Studio pickup or hand-delivery within the Austin, TX area is available upon request.
